Sounds of Love is an Australian house music compilation put together by Jason Woodward of 183. All 11 tracks were proudly produced within Australia. The tracks are exclusive 12 inch mixes exuding warm and sexy house sounds. For two tracks, the vocal talents of overseas artist Ernesta Dunbar were employed. This compilation is very fresh. It combines soulful vocals with deep percussion, backed with strong melodies. This album is a class act from start to finish. The Sounds of Love is currently being played on Triple by Shariff from the Groove Train show. The show regularly plays all four tracks, featured on the EP vinyl. We released the 4 track 12inch EP on the 1st of April and sold out the first run of 500 in 3 weeks! Culminating in a No.1 position on the Central Station dance charts! Funk Corporation - Mind Games ARTIST INFO Funk Corporation Funk Corporation is Paul "Flex" Taylor and Craig Obey. They have released a number of tracks on the Kompactr label through WEA Australia, Hussle records through EMI and Global Recordings UK. Funk Corporation have produced remixes for Love Tattoo, Ice House, Paul Mac and Disco Montego. "Mind Games" is a full on loopy disco funker, with a wicked vocoder begging "stop playing mind games...stop! ". A real future disco party tune with super funky head snapping programming! These guys are regularly remixing for major recording companies and DJšing all over Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. They are one of Australiašs most respected DJ/production teams.   POLYHYMNIA POLYHYMNIA is the Greek Goddess of music and dance. Vocalist Dora D had a big UK dance hit with Casanova Baby, produced by Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Producers for this track are Leon Lucas and Nobby Grooves from Pitchblak Studios. Nobby Grooves has 20+ years DJ experience. Leon Lucas is an incredible musician who has recorded professionally all around the world. "Gone to Heaven", the title says it all, a guaranteed party track, with a touch of jazz. Pitchblak Studios have released classics like Puzzle, on Clan Analogue records, Turntable Treachery and Calix vs. Pitchblak, on Dope Dragon Records. They often perform live at events like Apollo, Morph, Hibernation (with Carl Cox) and Modcon. Pitchblak featuring Polyhymnia have also played alongside artists such as Speedy J, CJ Bolland and Derrick May. TRADING PLACES TRADING PLACES features the beautiful vocals of Beck Downie, production by Pat Crowley and Kheshrow Rasta. The track starts straight, then launches into a warm blue eyed soul singing "Watcha waiting for....Išm All Alone!". A fantastic mix of real nice summer jazzy keys, haunting horns and dreamy washes of disco and glamour. Guaranteed to have all the floor moving! Beck Downie is a 28 year old singer from Melbourne. She has been with Pat and Kheshrow for the last 3 years. Kheshrow and Patrick recently remixed Shakayašs third release through Sony. They also work as engineers for a number of compilations including projects by Jen E and Darren Brias through Shock Music. Sgt Slickšs Let It Ride was mixed down at the K Rasta Studios, released by Vicious Vinyl records.  ERNESTA DUNBAR. 183 is particularly proud to have worked with Ernesta Dunbar on this project. For the uninitiated, Ernesta Dunbar is a Philly legend who comes from a dance music royal family which includes Sly Dunbar. She has a vocal range of 5 octaves of pure soul. She has sung with legends such as Teddy Pendergrass, Bunny Sigler, Grover Washington Jr, Bobby Brown. Production is by Pat Crowley and Kheshrow Rasta. This track is a potential anthem for those going thru changes. It is pure Philly 4/4 soul. Pure Class!!! Ernesta currently works and resides in Singapore. She was brought to Australia by Khesrow Rasta and Patrick Cowley for a number of vocal sessions. Ernesta plays her own bass throughout the tracks. Her soulful style adds to the gorgeous Philly feel. She released a self titled LP in 1986 with the classic soul tune "Checking Out" and has had releases on Streetwave records as well. She is listed in the "Whošs Who of Soul" book.  
BIONIC SOUL SYSTEM BIONIC SOUL SYSTEM is producer Tony Vass featuring Roxane who sang the hit single "I ainšt playin" for the Rockmelons and 3 other cuts on the Rockies 3 LP. Tony Vass is a producer / DJ and has remixed for artists such as Sound Unlimited Posse, Renegade Funk Train and K.I.C. Under another moniker (Studio 347), Tony Vass remixed Kaylan, Bardot, Leah Haywood, Jimmy Barnes, Human Nature and Disco Montego. Tony and Roxanne are pictured below. ALAN KEDEA Alan Kedea produced and wrote the track "Nasty". Alan is an up and coming producer who also works as a DJ in Brisbane. He has been writing and programming music for a number of years. The vocals featured on this track, come courtesy of session vocalist Despina Kalokerinos. Project Co-ordinator: The project was compiled and conceived by Jason Woodward a.k.a. KASINO. Jason owns the record label 183 and Butter Beats Record Store in Brisbane. 183 has put out a number of compilations recently including the FOUR ELEMENT EFFECT LP and KINGS OF STEEL LP.
