I just returned from Sydney where I did a showcase at Goodbar's Step Forward Hip Hop night...
Sydney's only regular Hip Hop club, every Thursday night for the last few years.
Big up to the crew- Nick Toth, Trent Roden, Kuya and Maya.
Another gig I did recently was the Soul Jazz night in Brisbane.
This UK crew continue to pump out the nicest funk/ soul reissues and here is a pic of me [R] and Abi Clarke [L] from the Soul Jazz massive.

I always stay with my homegirl Thorn in Sydney.
H ere she is in front of an art piece dedicated to her at the CYBER THIEF hip hop clothing warehouse.
Thorn just got back from touring with Jimmy Barnes in the UK and Europe. She just got signed and was partying with the Spooks, Lee Scratch Perry and Nelly Furtado to name a few.
We co-hosted the Triple J hip hop show late September, did some freestyles live and played a funny cover version of "No Diggity" she did with Barnsey overseas. There is a new emcee A-love from Melbourne.
She was on a track on the recent Puah Headz CD and Draino [Puah Headz] has just put out an in depth CD ROM on every MC and DJ in Australian hip hop with a release.
A-Love's debut CD should be out by the end of the year with an all girl posse cut featuring Trey, Layla, A-love, Thorn, Maya and me, Tash. It's called Status of Women.

She has a radio show on 2SER Monday afternoons called "Freeze".
She just produced a mad evil track called "Blood of a thousand years" with female electro producer Shapeshifter and MCs Thorn and Maya Jupiter complete with Ghostbusters samples.

Australia's longest writing female Miss Spice with another winner at Bondi Junction.

I was deeply saddened to hear through Art Crimes of the passing of one of my favourite artists Margaret Kilgallen.
Margaret passed away June 28th in San Francisco due to complications of breast cancer.
She was a great painter from around Frisco and is survived by her husband Twist and daughter Asha.
Here is a flyer from one of her gallery shows I've always loved.
She will be sadly missed.
