A turntablist compilation which provides an overview of a wide range of talents
producing beats within Australia and from the United Kingdom.
Some of these guys are industry pros and others will be appearing on wax and cd for the first time.


Over the last ten years, 183 has been showcasing new underground hip hop talent.
This documentation includes the sick BBOY BUSK Street Demon break video,
4 graffiti video zines, street arts mag BLITZKRIEG, with over 40 000 issues in print.
A wide range of fresh T-shirts with designs from world famous graff legends like
BATES, DMOTE, GIANT, SHEP FAIREY, KSINO etc.

From the UK we have two tracks well funky from RELEVANT ELEFANT and MONKEY KING.
MR KING is a member of both these groups and he works at KSINOs record store, BUTTER BEATS.
Mr King has held nites with the likes of MR SCRUFF, ROOTS MANUVA and RAE and CHRISTIAN.
RE is Wide P, Lord Biggs King of all things, Shifty Shaun and Dredd Eye Knight.

Sunny Brisvegas provides old school flavour in the form of BLUNTED STYLUS.
He used to make pause tapes back when all hip hop groups liked to shout their Zodiac signs.
Blunted is so break thirsty, has his 4 year daughter Breanna finding obscure breaks for songs like the Hamster Dance
(which happens to be a 20 year old Disney record sped up to 45rpm).
Fellow RESIN DOG, and ex Qld DMC champ, DJ KATCH runs one of Australias best underground labels - HYDROFUNK,
recording with artists like AB RUDE, Robert Reed, REGAL, SHIN KI ROW and MAD DR X.
He was the original scratch DJ for REGURGITATOR.

2001 Qld. DMC champ The MASTER has just dropped his debut LP ³FROM DOLE CHEQUES TO ROLEX² check it,
he scratches, he raps, he makes you laugh, crazy different flows, mad talented with the skills to pay the bills.



Emerging Qld. artists BRIZTRONIX are DJ Bacon and MC Shazam.
The break for this on is a recently revamped Axel grinder.
BRIZTRONIX have just released an excellent downbeat hip hop self titled EP,
put it on your list.


Also on the radical intellectual tip is I/O.
Lawrence English is the illbient nerve centre for a range of projects
including collaborations with spoken word artist/ writer Nick Earls and New York based DJ SPOOKY and SCANNER.
Lawrence also runs a record label called ROOM 40.
